When looking for a chef, we look for someone who has at least 5 years relevant and continuous experience with no gaps of employment on their CV.
We look for a chef who is clearly passionate, confidant and calm when communicating their culinary journey so far.
Our selection process looks for chefs who have experience in a variety of establishments from high volume, fast paced kitchens that serve quality produce to the more intricate, fine dining setting. By doing this we can establish a chef’s capability to work well under the pressure of high demand, high volume, as well as having the discipline and structure of higher end dining.
Our chefs will have a hygiene certificate, have, or be willing to get, an up to date DBS, as well as a full driving license in order to reach the varied locations of our clients.
They need to have a hygiene certificate and or be willing to get a DBS and driving is highly advisable due to the location of our clients.

When we recruit our chefs, they know from the moment they step through the door what our value system entails; we are courteous and welcoming. Our interview system is value led and we hand pick each of our chefs who are able to demonstrate their ability to follow our values. The in-house training that each of our chefs undertake focusses on our core values and our chefs are expected to follow this system in the workplace as well as with their dealings with us and our staff.
Our office staff work within our core value system so they can be relied upon to be courteous, to work well in a team, to give a fantastic first impression and to work efficiently.

You can trust that when our chefs step into your business to start work, they will have been vetted to ensure they;
- Are eligible to work in the UK
- Have level 2 food hygiene certificate (within a year)
- Have two reference checks within the last 3 years
- Have passed our Core Value Follow Up Test
Care home and School chefs will have an enhanced DBS with the update service.
